Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what Ojava is, where your data goes, what it costs, and where it stops and a clinician begins.
The basics
What is Ojava?
Ojava is your AI doctor for understanding your own health. It brings your labs, wearables, records, and history into one place, explains what the numbers mean in plain language, and helps you prepare for visits with a real clinician. It is built for understanding and preparation, not for diagnosis or treatment.
What can Ojava actually do for me?
It organizes the records you upload, summarizes your lab and wearable context, flags missing source details, explains patterns over time, drafts questions for your next appointment, and assembles a clinician-ready packet. Within the wellness lane it can also be direct about training, recovery, and sleep. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, order labs, or make clinical decisions.
Why use Ojava instead of a generic AI chat app?
A generic chat starts from nothing every time. Ojava keeps your uploaded records, your consent boundaries, the source of each value, what is still missing, and your visit-prep history together, so answers stay tied to the record you control and build on each other over time instead of living in a one-off transcript.
Your data and privacy
Where does my data come from and where does it go?
Only from records you choose to upload, under explicit consent. It stays private to you, with no ad tracking and no model training by default. You can export everything or request deletion at any time.
How does Ojava protect my data?
Ojava is built around patient-controlled uploads and explicit consent: no health-event ad targeting, no model training on your data by default, and export and deletion are available whenever you want them. Sensitive categories (for example mental health, reproductive, and genetic records) are held back from any export or AI context unless you opt them in per export.
Can I trust Ojava with real medical decisions and my medical data?
Trust it for private record organization, source-linked education, and clinician-prep drafts. Do not use it as the final decision-maker for your care. Ojava does not make medical decisions, and your data stays governed by the consent and privacy rules above.
Scope and limits
Can Ojava give me a diagnosis or tell me what to do?
It gives general educational information and helps you prepare questions for your clinician, and it can be direct about training, recovery, and sleep within the wellness lane. It does not diagnose disease, prescribe, or set clinical thresholds. Those decisions stay with a licensed professional.
Can Ojava prescribe or order labs?
No. Ojava can draft the questions and context to bring to a clinician visit. It does not prescribe, order labs, or tell you what clinical action to take.
Is Ojava a licensed medical practice?
No. Ojava is not a licensed medical practice and does not review diagnoses, prescriptions, or lab orders. The connected, licensed clinical layer (primary care, chronic care, mental health) is on the roadmap and is described in future tense everywhere on the site.
Can Ojava be my primary care doctor?
No. Ojava helps you keep the full picture and prepare better conversations with licensed clinicians. It does not replace a primary care doctor, specialist, urgent care, or an in-person exam.
What if I need in-person care?
Ojava can prepare a record packet from the context you upload, but it does not issue referrals, order imaging or procedures, schedule visits, or decide whether urgent care can wait. If you think you have an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Connecting your devices and records
Which wearables does Ojava support?
You can import Apple Health exports and Oura, Whoop, Fitbit, and Garmin CSVs today. Broader live sync (150+ devices through an aggregator, plus native Apple Health and Android Health Connect) is on the roadmap, read-only and consent-gated.
Does Ojava connect to my hospital or pharmacy automatically?
Not today. Ojava works from the records you provide. Automatic provider-record pulls and live device sync are on the roadmap, read-only and consent-gated where applicable.
What kinds of records can I bring in?
Lab PDFs, medication lists, visit summaries, wearable exports, and standard health-record files (FHIR and C-CDA). Ojava detects the type, normalizes it, and puts each result into a review queue so nothing enters your record until you accept it.
Pricing and availability
What does Ojava cost?
There is a free tier with unlimited educational AI chat, a starter record import, and the readings dashboard. Paid tiers add wearable depth and wider biomarker panels. Pricing is shown on the homepage; live checkout and billing are not enabled yet.
Can I use insurance, HSA, or FSA?
Not today. Insurance, HSA, and FSA are shown only as future topics until real billing and the legal rails behind them exist.
Where is Ojava available?
The record-organization and education workspace works from your uploaded files regardless of where you are. Any future clinical action (a prescription, lab order, referral, or clinician-reviewed recommendation) will require state-specific licensed coverage before it is offered.
