Every session, and the week it landed in.
Load, HRV status and VO2max, read next to your food, your sleep and your labs.
File import, not a live connection. You ask Garmin for your own history, drop the file in, and accept what the reader found.

What crosses over
A hard week explainsitself in company
Load going up is not news on its own. Load going up while sleep goes down and your last panel is three months old is a different sentence entirely. Ojava keeps all three in one record so you read the sentence, not the word.
Example screen, with illustrative values.
HRV status
Your own overnight line rather than a population average, so a low morning reads as low for you instead of low in general.
Resting heart rate
The nightly low, gathered into a personal baseline that a hard block of training or a short week visibly bends.
Sleep duration and quality
Stages, duration and how steady your bedtime has been, read against your own goal across weeks rather than one night.
VO2max and fitness age
The watch estimate preserved as it came, plus the fitness age Ojava computes from it, so you can watch the pair move together.
Body Battery and training load
Daily reserve and weekly load, read against your own four-week average with rest days counted in.
Steps, activity and intensity
Everyday movement and intensity minutes, kept beside the structured sessions rather than in a separate tab.
How it arrives
Three steps,then it is quiet
Setup is a file, not a project. Nothing joins your record until you accept it, and anything the reader got wrong can be corrected by hand first.
Export it once
Ask the app for your own history and drop the file in. The type is read from the file itself, and each type has its own parser rather than one hopeful reader for everything.

Values are checked back against the source, and readings that overlap with another device are collapsed rather than counted twice. The result sits in review until you accept it.

Sleep debt, readiness and training load are derived in code, the same way each time. The coach reads those finished values. It never redoes the arithmetic, and it says what is missing instead of filling the gap in.

Read together
One night,beside the other three
A recovery number on its own is a number. Read next to what you ate, what you trained and what your last panel said, it starts to explain itself.

The watch app on its own
- A load number, on its own timeline.
- No idea what you ate around the long ride.
- No ferritin result anywhere near the fatigue.
- Records live in a portal the watch cannot see.
In Ojava, beside everything else
- Weekly load beside the meals and the sleep that funded it.
- Fourteen days of resting heart rate under a July panel.
- Sleep debt and readiness computed from one deduplicated store.
- A coach you can text that reads those finished numbers.
File import, and a wellness read.
Ojava works from your own Garmin export as patient-owned wellness context, and keeps it there. It explains, trends, organizes, and helps you prepare for a visit.
- Not continuous monitoring, and not a medical device.
- No diagnosis, no prescription, no dose, no lab order.
- No clinical alert, and no replacement for your clinician.
The real questions
Does Ojava talk to Garmin directly?
Does Ojava talk to Garmin directly?
Not today. Ojava works from the export you download yourself. A signed-app sync path is built for the phone health stores and stays gated until store and real-device verification is complete, and nothing here claims a live cloud link before there is one.
The watch and my phone both counted that run. Which one wins?
The watch and my phone both counted that run. Which one wins?
One of them, and only one. Overlapping readings from two devices are collapsed before anything is stored, so a session is never counted twice in training load or in your own baseline.
Is any of this medical monitoring?
Is any of this medical monitoring?
No. Ojava treats the watch as a consumer wellness device. Readings become trend context and material for a conversation with your own clinician. They are not clinical alerts, and Ojava does not diagnose, prescribe, dose, or order labs.
How often should I export again?
How often should I export again?
Whenever you want the trend to be current, which for most people is monthly. Ojava shows how old the newest reading is, so a stale line is visible rather than quietly assumed to be fresh.
Sources
What this page stands on.
Consumer wearable readings are useful trend context, not clinical measurements. These are the papers and official sources that set that boundary.
Reliability and Validity of Commercially Available Wearable Devices for Measuring Steps, Energy Expenditure, and Heart Rate
Fuller, Colwell, Low, et al., 2020
Supports treating consumer wearable data as useful trend context with device and metric limitations. It does not validate wearable data as a standalone medical finding.
Patient Generated Health Data Use in Clinical Practice
Cohen, Keller, Hayes, et al., 2019
Supports auditing whether patient-generated data have provenance and clinical-use context before treating them as useful care context. It does not validate Ojava as a diagnostic system.
Recommended Amount of Sleep for a Healthy Adult
American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society, 2015
Supports adult sleep-duration education. The tool does not diagnose sleep disorders or validate a specific wearable score.

Nights and labs,one record
Export Garmin once, accept what the reader found, and the trend sits beside your food, your training and your last panel from then on.
You accept it first
Every reading waits in review. Nothing joins your record until you say so, and a wrong value can be fixed by hand.
Computed the same way each time
Readiness, sleep debt and training load are derived in code. The coach reads those finished numbers rather than inventing its own.
Yours to take back
Export or delete what you brought in whenever you decide it should leave. No ad targeting, and no model training on your health records.
Ojava is a General Wellness product. It organizes and explains your own data and helps you prepare for a visit. It does not diagnose, prescribe, dose, order labs, or replace your clinician.
